Hi! Welcome to the regional hub page

Welcome to the SECURE Regional Lead Hub, thank you for being a part of this exciting, resident-led project. This page will provide you information and overview of the role of Regional Lead as well as links to important documents and a checklist to ensure consistent roll out of SECURE across the UK. If you are a Local Lead then please access the Local Lead Hub here.

How does the Regional Lead role work?

RAFT5: SECURE is a project run in collaboration between RAFT and STAR. However, we need your help - the scale of the project means that, for SECURE to succeed across the UK, it is essential that there is coordination at a regional level led by Regional Leads, with support from their regional research networks (RRNs).

As Regional Leads, you will be responsible for recruiting Site Leads and coordinating data collection from all sites within your region.

The 'Regional' Team:

There will be a regional lead for each of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. The cross-specialty nature of SECURE means that support and participation from all three specialties are essential. This is an exciting opportunity, and as a regional lead, this cross-specialty teamwork is crucial to your role.

You should know who the other regional leads in your area are and collaboratively develop a strategy to coordinate the delivery of SECURE in your region.

How you coordinate this is up to you and your fellow Regional Leads. Your local Resident Research Network (RRN) can also assist you in this process.
